Building figures are existing stock from NYC PLUTO 26v2 tax lot records, not space on the market, summed across the 13 Brooklyn neighborhoods Leasemark covers. By neighborhood below.
On Leasemark No office space for sublease and no requirements posted in Brooklyn yet. Post yours and it is matched the day it goes up.
New office spaces in Brooklyn are matched to requirements the day they are posted. Post yours and be first in line. The labeled example below shows how a space appears here; it is not on the market.
No live requirements in Brooklyn yet. These labeled examples show what tenants post. Owners: list a space and we match it against every new requirement automatically.

NYC tax lot records
Where Brooklyn's existing office space stands, neighborhood by neighborhood, from the city's own property data, next to the other boroughs. Useful for choosing where to search before a single space is listed.
Source: NYC Department of City Planning, PLUTO 26v2, pulled 2026-09-30. Figures are sums of the 13 Brooklyn neighborhoods Leasemark covers (tax lots with commercial floor area near each neighborhood's commercial core, each lot counted once), not totals for the whole borough. Building figures are the city's floor-area estimates, not available space.
Plain-English guides to square footage, rent and lease terms in New York, and free calculators to run your own numbers.
How office subleases work in New York, for both sides: landlord consent, recapture, pricing, the prime lease and the Commercial Rent Tax.
About 150 to 260 rentable SF per employee in NYC when everyone comes in, less with shared desks: tables by team size and layout, then how to size from your busiest day.
Rentable vs usable square feet in NYC: what the loss factor is, how to calculate it, and why two 5,000 SF suites at the same rent can be very different deals.
Pricing depends on building class, floor, condition and lease length. Post a requirement with your budget and Leasemark will match you with spaces that fit it as they are listed.
Post a requirement on Leasemark. Owners and listing brokers see what you need (without your contact details) and can respond with spaces, including ones that are not on the market yet. You choose who gets an intro.
You rent the space from the company that leases it now rather than from the landlord, for part of that company's remaining term. Subleases often come built out and furnished, run shorter than a direct lease and usually ask less than comparable direct space. The landlord has to consent in writing before anyone moves in, and the sublease ends when the lease above it does. Leasemark matches sublease listings with tenants looking to lease or sublease.
Usually, with your landlord's written consent: most New York office leases require it, and many let the landlord take the space back instead (recapture) or claim a share of any rent above what you pay. You stay liable under your own lease while the subtenant is in. Read the subletting clause first, then list the space for free on Leasemark, where it is matched against every active requirement for this kind of space.
New York City's PLUTO tax lot data (26v2) records about 40.6 million square feet of office floor area across 2,548 properties in the 13 Brooklyn neighborhoods Leasemark covers, 8% of the office space in all 47 covered New York City neighborhoods. That is existing building stock in those neighborhoods, not a total for the whole borough and not space currently for sublease.
By floor area in the city's tax lot data: Downtown Brooklyn (about 19.7 million square feet), Dumbo (about 3.1 million square feet) and Sunset Park (about 2.9 million square feet). The largest single office building on record in Brooklyn is 4 Metrotech Center in Downtown Brooklyn, at about 1.2 million square feet.
Yes. Posting a space or a requirement is free. Contact details are only shared when both sides accept an intro.
